Pocket Pictograms: In Print

A short mini-project which demonstrates the use of my Pocket Pictograms icon set in print. I got a set of business cards printed – each with a large icon on one side, and my contact details with three smaller supporting icons on the other.

The printers did a great job and the icons came out very sharp, even at the smaller size. The collection of icons are freely available to download through the Pocket Pictograms website here.

Hand Eye Mind: Business Cards

The business cards that I designed for Hand Eye Mind arrived today - and they are stunning. The 600gsm thickness of the cards gives them a tactile quality which is very appropriate for the work produced by the woodwork company. They have also been triplexed with a seam of black between the layers of paper, creating a nice contrast and satisfying visual finish.

So I Have Now graduated…
“Graduation is not the end, it’s the beginning.” - Orrin Hatch
With our Now What degree show done and dusted my path through education has officially finished. I designed a poster that I hope to screenprint and send out to worthy people who have helped me along the way.
Thanks to Angus Mackenzie for the idea of sending out prints! Exciting times ahead…

My sketchbooks for previous projects rebound for assessment, with CDs of the digital work held on inside sleeves.

Sketchbooks: Work & Play

So its the beginning of the third and final year of my Graphic Design degree at Brighton University. I decided to start it off by making myself two fresh new sketchbooks in the bookbinding workshop. One is for university work (work) and the other is for personal projects (play). Foil debossed in 24pt Gill Sans.
